3. ManHole Games - Mind Reader
Once upon a time, Ancient Spirits of Eastern Europe granted an average sewer worker - who had always ensured public safety at
the expense of his own health - special mind-reading powers. He used these powers to ensure health and a good standard of living
for all the inhabitants of the town he lived in. And, of course, he was always kind to children and animals, and on more than
one occasion, he helped a little old lady cross the street. This wasn't easy for him, as he never really smelled very good...
To honour this kind sewer worker the evening after he had passed away (at a very old age and up to his ankles in s**t), the
inhabitants staged a bingo night to raise funds. At first, they had wanted to give the money to his estate, or create a public
outhouse, but saner minds prevailed.
The town people used the earnings to commission a bronze statue of 'Cumil', as he was warmly known to all. To this day, in the heart
of Bratislava, the bronze statue of 'Cumil' peeking mischieviously from within a manhole (with the manhole cover cleverly removed)
draws large crowds and tourists.
It is said that on warm nights in November, just after the stroke of midnight, and while accompanied by a bikini-clad blonde maiden - 'Cumil'
will share his secret of special powers with a chosen visitor. On all other nights, and during the day (including Pentecost),
you can witness 'Cumil's' amazing special powers right here at ManHole.ca!
'Cumil' (after appearing to us in a dream with very vivid colours and this very strange rabbit with a top hat) - requested only
that our visitors prove their worthiness by performing a simple math task. He suggested the following in return for
astonishing us with his powers of prestidigitation:
Choose a random two digit number (e.g. 77).
Add the two digits (7+7=14).
Subtract the result from the number (77-14=63).
Remember the result (63).
